How to Help Cats in Ukraine
There are many ways to help cats in Ukraine…
No matter what’s your political view, animals are innocent when it comes to human conflicts.
We have spent time doing research to find out how we can best help the animals in Ukraine and we have compiled a list of rescue organisations that are in need of support right now.
Disclaimer: This is *not* an endorsement as I have not spoken to anyone of them. (One charity said on their social media that they got 15,000 messages a day at the moment and I don’t want to burden them and take their attention away from caring for hundreds of animals.) By complying this list, it makes your research easier. Please have a look at each rescue yourself and decide for yourself how to help.
DO NOT SEND FOOD DIRECTLY UNLESS YOU KNOW THEY NEED IT. Some charities are showered with supplies that are not suitable. The best way to help is often to send money. Give them money so they can figure the food and water out themselves depending on their current situation. We are not there, they know best what works. And situations are changing every single day, sometimes every few hours.
