Janette - the Cat Groomer, the Cat Foster, CFR
Passionate about animal welfare from childhood, Janette is a veterinary assistant, qualifying in 2000. She has been a cat rescue volunteer for the past 5 years, fostering over 50 kittens - specialising in bottle feeding and hand rearing orphaned/abandoned kittens and helping find them fabulous forever homes (not without shedding a tear when saying goodbye though). She also works with rescue groups regularly to do Trap, Neuter and Release (TNR). She is currently finishing her Cat Grooming & Anatomy diploma. She is also a Canine First Responder.
Janette spent 2 years living in America and went on to travel Europe before coming home to Dublin. She has a background in computer studies and has now taken up photography.
She lives with partner, Peter and their cats Simba, Bagheera and Petal along with the occasional litter of foster kittens.
Janette found Maow Care through the cat vine and was thrilled to join the team.
